PIXMA printing in black and white

How can I get my Canon PIXMA printer to print in greyscale (black and white)? The software appears to be set up deliberately to force one to waste color ink. I am using Mac OS 10.6.8.

how to print from iphone using regular paper size

son's iphone used to be able to print an image on 8x10 paper. Now, Canon mpx920 defaults to 4x6 cassette, and NO image appears. How can he choose paper source, and why is no image printing? THANKS!!
