After installing a new wifi router (new wifi name and password), my Canon mx492 does see the new ssid but does not ask for password and it fails to connect. I have made sure to have the latest version of firmware installed. Any ideas?

I changed router and got to the point to input the password. I input the letters but when I need to enter numbers it puts letters and I dont know how to switch to number input. when I hit the symbols it gives question marks and such not numbers
