Hello!
My printer was set up automatically once I used it once via usb. Now I can print using ipp via the network as well. I am only able to scan from the printer to my chromebook when the usb cable is connected. If I try to scan through the network the scan app comes up empty when searching for scanners.
Is there a way I can scan to my chromebook through the network with this printer? Would using a protocol other than ipp for the printer be a solution?
Thanks.

I was able to solve this. I added the networked printer manually. This was incorrect. After I deleted the saved printers, connected to the printer via USB automatic setup process happened for the usb printer and then I clicked set up for the mf654Cdw listed in available network printers.
Now it scans to chromebook flawlessly.
