Why is the PIXMA TS9520a so much heavier than the TR8620a?

These printers are roughly the same size and have mostly the same features? Does anyone know why one is 4 lbs heavier than the other? Thanks!

PIXMA TR8620 - only printing in black ink

Initially the printer was only printing color and not black so I replaced the ink cartridges and cleaned the ink head. Now the printer is only printing black. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
