PIXMA MG2522 Flashing Lights After Inserting Ink Cartridges

Hello everyone, I’m having trouble setting up my printer, I keep getting flashing lights after I insert my ink carriages and I’ve done it several times and don’t know if it’s set up properly. This is the initial setup right out of the box

I've tried all the suggested fixes.  I've given up on trying to have wireless connection.  But it doesn't even connect with a USB cable. I'm fed up.  Help!
