Canon pixma MP 240 - E3 error, but can't see paper jam??

My printer (PIXMA MP240) keeps displaying an E3 error, but I don't see any 'paper jam'. Does anyone know what else I can do to resolve the error??

MX922 says out of paper even though tray is full

G6020 Printer won't allow black ink to fill

My printer will not print black anymore.  I cannot tell how full the reservoir is and the black ink will not dispense into the reservoir.  I've tried the ink flush and the cleaning and still black will not print.  Any ideas?
