Latest Photo Printer Software for TR8620 Printer, or 3rd party suggestions

Hello,

I don't have any problems but I was wondering if there is a version of Canon photo printing software that I can download for my Canon Pixma TR8620 Inkjet printer.  I did download the software included in the support link for my printer (Easy-PhotoPrint Editor Ver.1.10.2 (Windows)), but I was wondering if there is any software that is better or newer.

I did like that the Canon version works better than the Windows generic photo printing app, but I would like to have more features.

If there is anything better for my printer, that I can buy that has more editing features.  It can be from Canon or elsewhere.  Just looking for your suggestions and options you might have come across.

I did find that Pro software is available, but I don't have a Pro printer.

Thanks for your suggestions!

i don't use any Canon print programs only the maintenance and settings programs. I have two Canon printers. I prefer a program that lets me use the Canon native printer settings, not an app that takes over like Windows photo viewer or Apple photo viewer or Easy Print. I make framed prints that I sell in two galleries in the town where I live.   I print them with  my Canon Pixma IP8720 photo printer which prints up to 13x19 images.  It is a program that I have used for years. It is a very good photo organizer and includes a simple but good editor. I like it because the image it puts on my screen matches what the printer produces. The program is Sony's (yes they are a Canon Camera competitor but not printers) Play Memories Home. I have used it for years and it is free.  I also use Corel PaintShop Pro Ultimate, a very good editing program, that in my opinion is as good as many others but not near the cost. It has many plug-ins and includes AI image repair and enhancement. It has a one time cost, not a monthly subscription like so many others.  It also includes a sorting program but I prefer Play Memories Home for that.

Thank you for the quick reply.  These suggestions sound like great options.

I have used both of these programs in the past.

The Sony Play Memories Home came with a Sony Handicam I used for years to download the programs to my PC.  I never ventured beyond using it as a download program.  I will take another look.

The Corel PaintShop Pro Ultimate 2022 I use often for edits.  I have used PSP for years.  I wish they offered a 2026 version.  I recently tried printing with this program but I didn't have much luck.  I must make another more detailed attempt as you recommend it.

Thank you so much for these suggestions.

-Steve.

Its a bit unusual for Corel to have a three year break between upgrades. I suspect there will be a new PSP sometime this year. As far as printing, I edit photos using PSP, save the edited image and sometimes it is a major one, but I print it from Play Memories home.
