TS7720 I cannot print after installing Tahoe OS 26.6on my Mac Book Air

thompsond07

I have tried everything -through my internet provider, Apple and cannon. I have installed a new driver and rebooted all several times.  When I try to print, and I have to input the Internet address, the job starts and disappears after a second. This has happened since I installed Tahoe.

All help is appreciated after spending several hours on the phone!

Hi thompsond07,

There is a setting that can be changed that may help. With your PIXMA TS7720 powered on, please follow these steps:

1. Press the HOME button one time.

2. Tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left hand corner of your printer's display.

3. Tap Wi-Fi.

4. Tap the Advanced button in the lower right corner.

5. Tap TCP/IP settings.

6. Tap IPv6.

7. To the question "Do you wish to continue?", tap Yes.

8. Tap Enable/disable IPv6.

9. Tap Disable.

"Processing..." will appear. When the IPv6 settings window returns, please press the HOME button on your printer.

Once complete, please turn your PIXMA TS7720 off.

Next, please go to your router and unplug the power cord from the router for 4 to 5 minutes. After that time has elapsed, reconnect the power cord.

When your Wi-Fi network is back online, please turn your PIXMA TS7720 back on and then follow these steps:

1. Tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left hand corner of your printer's display.

2. Tap Wi-Fi.

3. Tap See settings.

4. Scroll down the list until you see IPv4 address. Please write that number down.

5. Press the HOME button.

On your Mac, please follow these steps:

1. Click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner.

2. Click on System settings.

3. Scroll down towards the bottom of the left side and click on Printers & scanners.

4. If there are any TS7700's or TS7720's listed on the right side, please click on the first one.

5. Click Remove printer to uninstall it from your Mac.

6. Repeat until all TS7700 / TS7720's are removed from the right side.

7. Click on the Add Printer Scanner or Fax button.

8. In the Add Printer window, there are 3 icons at the top. Please click the middle icon.

9. In the Address box, please type in the IPv4 address that you wrote down before.

10. In the Protocol drop down box, please select Airprint.

11. In the Use box at the bottom, the TS7700 series should appear.

12. Click Add.

The printer should now appear in the Printers & scanners window with a green dot and "Idle".

Please attempt to print.
