Pixma mx922 Issues

Im looking for a solution for my mx922. Its printing very light. Is there a way to adjust the color? No matter how dark the picture is the printout is very light. It is also very slow to start printing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the model MG2520.  They claim that I'm supposed to be able tyo print 180 copies.  The first time I only got 63!  The second time I've printed 56, & already the light is on, meaning low ink.  What a jip!  Anyone else having the same problem?
