what is the story on the mg2500?? i made a mistake buying a printer that CAN NOT connect to computer

I am about to return the cannon prnter. apparently I made a mistake buying a device that CAN NOT BE USED as it does not connect to computer. this is really stupid I regret my decision to buy another cannon

paperguide made NO reference to a USB connection, fortunately the CD had the info. still dont understand how to scan but at least i can print
