I attempted to connect my camera CANON SX510 to my computer and I got a communication error.

I got a communication error when I tried to connect my CANON SX510 to my Mac computer. I have 3000 photos but I have successfully connected before with the same camera and card. Could someone assist me? Thank you.

Powershot SX500 line on display
