Resolved! RF 100-500 disables IS when recording video from a tripod

Hi,I've seen some older posts on the following issue, but never has there been a solid answer or the problem was (wrongly) accused of being due to an inferior tripod used. I've come across this problem with the RF100-500 and it's quite a dealbreaker ...

RF800mm lens fuzzy on EOS R5 Mark II

I have the R5 Mark II. Recently i purchased the RF 800 F11 IS STM lens. I have not been able to get the lens to focus. It is like it gets close but the image remains fuzzy. Is there something wrong with the lens or something I am doing wrong?

EOS R7 & RF100-500mm lose focus at 400-500mm

Hello.  I'm not sure if this is a camera or lens issue, but I'm guessing lens.  I've had my R7 and RF100-500 for 2 years.  About a week ago, I started experiencing a focus issue with the lens.  When zoomed to 400-500, it will be focused fine, then su...

RF24-240mm lens won't focus on distant objects

I have the Canon RP and Canon RF 24-240 MM IS USM. The lens won't focus on distant object or allow the shot to be taken. It used to work. I've checked the lens switches. Is it a menu function that accidentally got turned on? Or lens failure.

24-70 lens error code

My 24-70 lens just began giving me an error code telling me that there is no communications between the lens and camera to clean the connection points on the lens. I've done this several times and it may take one picture and then go back to the same ...

Hello: Could you please provide information on the field of view, if objective RF100 mm f/2.8L macro (on EOS R6) is placed 50 cm above the in-focus specimen to be pictured? The official answer to that question is "is 23°10" but I very much would appr...
