Confirm extender compatibility with the new RF70-200 2.8L Z

Pgallett

I’m seeing some conflicting compatibility info between the RF2x extender and the specs for the RF70-200 2.8L Z lens on the Canon site.

On the product page of the lens it states “Compatible with Extenders RF1.4X and RF2.0X”, but on the extender page it doesn’t list the lens.

Can anyone confirm the compatibility?

That lens is compatible with both extenders. The manuals for the extenders were written before that lens came out so the manual won't mention it at all.

Greetings ,

I've noticed that the extender compatibility list (instructions)  do not always get updated as frequently as new lenses come out.  Everything I have read or seen thus far indicates that the RF extenders are compatible with the 70-200 internal zoom Z series lenses.  This was one of the reasons this lens was produced.

Call the Canon Sales Team to confirm, so you can order with confidence.  1-800-385-2155
