No, AF is definitely not working for viewfinder and live view. There is no movement in the distance scale, the only time it move is when I manually focusing the lens.
I like the way you're thinking. As you can see from the photo, Autofocus is also not working for live view. I have tried detach the lens from the camera and leave it off for a few mins. Nothing seems to help
