Pixma mg7520 unresponsive with amber light on

Pixma mg7520 is unresponsive with amber light on. I am connected to the computer by USB and the computer does recognize  the printer. The printer has been unplugged and retried with no luck.

Canon IP7250 and heavy weight papers?

I'm considering the IP7250 to generate test prints on fine art papers before sending my files to a pro lab for large print work. I don't know if this printer can mechanically handle 200-300 gram paper. Any experience of thoughts?
