New printer. Need help

How do I start printing on Pixma printer? It keeps saying no paper in cassette.I just installed printer.What am I not doing right?

The wretched thing wont print anything from my computer. I am getting no help from Canon. Think its because there are items stuck in the print queue but I can find no guidance for this printer which explains simply how you delete them.
