My Pixma MX470 was working but now doesn't print and all it says is shows print error in the printer

PIXMA MG7560 turns on then off immediately so cannot print or access the menu.

I notice others have reported similar issue with other canon printers eg MG7520 and canon has issued a firmware update. Will canon provide a firmware update to fix this?
