Can't print from pc to mx922 via usb cable.

I have a mx922 and I'm running windows 8.1 Can't print from the pc using a usb cable but the 922 will print wireless.Is there a setting I'm missing? Thank You.

Pixma MG 5520 printer, new, getting gutter shadows and black frames when copying from a book

Didn't happen the first few times I copied. The gutter shadows are on the opposite side of the book's binder on the copy. Shadows cause blurring and unable to read text on one side of copy? Still using the original ink cartridges.
