white line at bottom of scanned image on canon mp460

When we scan an image on an mp460 canon printer using windows 7 64 bit there is a white line that shows up at the bottom of the scanned image.  the white line is not on the original picture just on the scan.the white line is about 4 pixels or so high...

I have a windows 7 laptop with a MP460 printer hooked up to it.When I click the scan button on the scanner itself I get a pop up window on my laptop that asks me to choose mp Navigator 3.0 or OmniPage SE 4.0 before it will scan my picture or document...
