mx870 that will not print

I have a mx870 printer that will print the test page and alignment page, but when I try to scan, copy or print a document it acts like it is printing, and sounds like it is printing, but the page comes out blank.  Any sugestions?

printer not scanning

I have an Canon MP 230 printer that is not scanning.  I am able to print documents however.  I have tried suggestions posted earlier.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.  Thank you.

Intervention

Trying to set up MG6620.  When I get to the point of printing the test page I get an intervention message with no further explanation.  Printer is online and ready and troubleshooting was no help.  Any suggestions?
