How do I get the MX892 printer to use the large black ink cartridge?

I have the MX892. I can't figure out how to get it to use the large black ink cartridge. Hence, the small black cartridge runs out often since all I print is black and white. Any ideas? Thanks, KB

Canon MG2220 won't connect to PC

My computer either completely ignores the USB connection, or tells me it's not supported/recognized. I tried reinstalling the driver, but it wouldn't work as it required a connection to the printer. 

How do you print 5x7 photos on 8.5x11 on MX920 using Imagebrowser?

I just got an MX920 and I can't figure out how to get it to print a photo on a size that's different from the paper size.  I've gone through the manual but there's nothing in there about it. .
