Hi Jimboni,

Are you using your PIXMA MX472 wirelessly?
or are you connecting it to your Mac using a USB cable?

Have you downloaded and installed the latest CUPS Printer Driver?
If not, it is available for download here:

Canon Support for PIXMA MX472 - Downloads

Once downloaded, please reinstall the driver and then attempt to print again.

Thanks for your response.  I am running the printer wirelessly as per my original use on my old iMac. I have downloaded the correct driver and am still having the same issue. The issue only cropped up after using the new iMac. TIA

Also upon checking /Library/Printers folder is empty.

Hi Jimboni,

Please click on the Apple in the upper left corner and then System Settings.

In System Settings, scroll down to the bottom of the left side and click on Printers & Scanners.

Click on your Canon printer on the right side.

On the next screen, what appears to the right of "Kind" ?
