Using PIXMA 925 bought in Germany in the U.S.

Hello, I bought a PIXMA 925 in Germany because I saw there were compatible U.S. cartridges cli-551/cli-251. However, my printer will not recognize the cli-251 cartridges. Is there a region setting in setup? Thanks, Joe

I have scanned with this printer for over a year.  Today, after the few steps, it says " Set the pc to start scanning" but it goes back to default Doc.type <Auto scan> instead of staying on Doc.type <Photo>.  What can I do to be able to scan?

Why are my color cartridges being used up even though I only print in black.  This has started recently.
