Anoles - Not To Be Confused With Cannnoli :)

We have two species of Anole in the southeast. One is an invasive, the Brown Anole (Anolis sagrei) and one native, the Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis). The brown can't turn green, but the green can turn brown. Since they can change colors, most peo...

Leaping keeper save

Action is constant in soccer and I was out of position when a scoring drive on one end of the field quickly turned into a great fingertip save on the other end.  This was shot with a 1DX III and EF 400 f2.8 @ 1/1600, f2.8 and the sharpness of the len...

2019 Partial Moon Eclipse

Since I didn't use a tracker for these 1 second exposures (orange moon), they aren't as sharp as I would have liked. These are single exposures and experimental to boot. I tried stacking with the composite tool, but my alignment was slightly off and ...

Small Colorful Flies - Macro

One of the reasons I love the EF 100mm f/2.8 L IS USM is that you can put a little distance between your lens and a skittish critter and still get 1:1. Most of these were shot with a Rebel T4i and all are quite tiny. Long Legged Fly, female. These fl...
