Pixma TR4720 Work around for 5G

Is there a way to set up wireless printing to my 5G wifi that the printer will actually recognize? Had I known this was an issue I would not have purchased this printer

Image Garden and easy photo print do not work over ethernet

Canon software seems to require usb connection. I can print via other software over my ethernet connection. Is there a fix for this? Windows 10, up to date. Windows sees the printer just fine, the Canon software does not.
