Mf642Cdw toner drawer won’t latch on left side.

I have a MF642Cdw. The toner drawer or tray, closes all the way and it latches on the right side. It will not latch on the left side. So, it sticks out over an inch. Now, when I close the printer door, it looks like the tray is seating and closing but when I print, the print on the far side of the paper is vivid and almost non existent. 

I also have an issue with the touchscreen not being responsive and I’ve barely used the machine. I’ve owned it over a year but just now am replacing the starter cartridge.

The issue looks like there is a problem with the hardware or there is something in the paper feed path. You can try removing the toner and checking the paper path for obstructions using the steps in the link HERE. If that does not resolve the issue, you can attach some images of the paper trays or the print results that come out of the MF642 so we can check what might be going on.
