EOS 1D Mark II huge banding

Hi everyone,

recently I noticed huge bandings on my 1D Mk II images. Local Canon specialists advised this was definitely a sensor malfunction so I replaced the complete CMOS module but nothing changed. Colored stripes/blotches are clearly visible across the frame, especially in shadows. I've also made tests on different shutter speeds to determine if there is interference with diying shutter, but no correlation at all. I also tried different lenses, batteries, ISO-s, exposure pairs, bright and low-light scenes but the issue persists. There was a thread  by "Ukieboy" user last year here with the same problem like mine but the outcome of his case unknown. I'm attaching crops demonstrating the issue. Thank you in advance!

I can't really see any sign of banding in the pictures but that may be because they are showing up quite small on the forum, in any case you say these are crops but do not say by how much, 50%, 100% or what.

I suppose if you have changed everything else (including the memory card ?) then it can only be a fault on the main circuit board.

I do not see anything, either.  But, I have bad eyes, so take that observation with a grain of salt.  Try looking at the images on a different PC and monitor.  What software are you using to view the images?

Seems really bad and I remember seeing the same pattern before from a 1Ds II. Time for an upgrade instead?

Where should we be looking, and are the bands horizontal or vertical?

Horizontal. Enlarge the images (but it is visible even without zooming in) Looks like barcodes. Visible from my crappy Samsung Notebook screen and my better external Dell. Also visible using my Samsung Note 3 Neo.

Everywhere. Highlighs and shadows. Easier to see in the shadows.

With a magnifying glass, I think I see what you're talking about in the first picture and possibly the third (but not yet the second). But I think I'd be more inclined to consider it an artifact of the conversion to JPEG than "banding". Does it show up in the RAW image as well? (I guess that's a question for the OP.)
