Hi everyone,
I just received a Canon-refurbished EOS R6 Mark II from Canon today, and I noticed an issue with the articulating LCD screen.
When the LCD is in its normal position, the display looks completely normal. However, when I rotate the screen outward, I get noticeable vertical bands/lines across the display. The lines are only present when the screen is articulated, and they disappear when I move the screen back into the normal position.
The camera is brand new to me and was just delivered today, so I haven't dropped it, damaged it, or done anything that could have caused the issue.
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar with the R6 Mark II. Could this be an issue with the LCD flex cable or another connection inside the articulating screen?
Since I literally just received the camera from Canon, I'm also wondering if I'm better off requesting an exchange rather than sending it in for repair.
I've attached photos/video showing the issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Send it back for sure, it's not right. It should display the same at all angles.
I've used my R6 MK II for over 3 years, the screen still perfect. I assume the pivot point is causing a misconnection, it's not user serviceable.
Is the view through the EVF ok? It will be, but just thought i'd ask anyway.

Yes the view through the EVF is fine. Calling first thing Monday.

Stick with it, the R6 MKII is great product, the low light, high ISO performance is hard to beat.

My first thought was it’s a moire pattern, a result of what the sensor is seeing. Do you see these lines when you point the camera at something else?
Do you still see the lines when you browse through the menu system?

Hi there, yes I see them no mater what subject I point at and I see them in the menu as well. Even after trying to reset the camera I still see the vertical banding.
