Pixma MG2520 scanning preferences trouble.

I have set my preferences in the scanner settings, but after a few scans, the settings randomly revert to defaults. I can reset them, but the same thing happens again. ???

It just quit doing anything. You would think i could still fax at least. Not a chance i will recommend Canon to anyone. this machine is less than two years old. The Re-Seat instructions are a joke.
