Blurry printing on Pixma 432

Followed the instructions for cleaning the decoder strip, but still get blurred pinting - when printing from Word or off internet. If photocopy - not blurry. I'm about to pitch the printer in the bin. Please help

Windows10.  ip3500 Printer works normally until PRINT is pressed, then error41 or Printer is in error state appears in the lower right-hand corner. I have removed the printer and reinstalled it as default printer which always shows that it is.Thanks....

I recently downloaded the latest drivers for this MFP and now the scanner function cuts off the last row of characters on an 8-1/2 x 11 document.  Can you adjust settings to compensate for this?
