Pixma MG2522 Won't Install

I was notified that I got a reply about this, but was unable to view the reply, so I deleted my original post, and am reposting.

I tried 4 times to get my new printer to install. It kept going from "printer detected" to "printer not detected, check connection". I tried every suggestion in the guide, as well as trying multiple USB ports and 2 different USB cables.

This is driving me nuts! Help!

I'm going to try to return the printer to Walmart, even though I bought it online. Can I then just return it to any Walmart store?

Only if you bought it online at walmart.com.

This solved the same problem I was having. windows 10

This worked great . Thanks

NO. This is not the problem. The DRIVERS REFUSE TO INSTALL. My computer, also Windows 10, can see the printer. But the DRIVERS WON'T INSTALL. This is not a problem with the users or the computer. Your driver software is screwed up.

I'm about two seconds from doing the same. It's obvious the problem is with the driver software, but of course, as usual, the company wants to **bleep** around pretending it's user error.

I'm with you. I'll get a new printer but you can bet it won't be a Canon. There are a lot of fish in that sea.

What does Tom Worley's HP usb answer have to do with the Canon printer problem?

Maybe this reply is late, but I had the same issue with this printer, I even tried it on two different computers and it didn't work because the drivers were not able to install, both computers couldn't detect the printer during installation, all I had to do is download this file from the drivers section of the printer in my case it was an (MG2522  My Printer Ver.3.3.0) this is its description: "(Optional)This application facilitates basic maintenance and trouble-shooting for your product", during that it asked me to do a test print that was successful, I didn't even had to reinstall the drivers after the 1st unsuccessful try, later on I was able to print all my documents. I hope this will help anyone stumble on this post

Is this info for someone using the disc to install? Coz I am not I don't have a disc player.
