Thanks so muchf or joining the Canon Community!

The MX922 is the specific model, while MX920 is the series! So both are technically correct. That being said, plug and play drivers might not have full functionality so I took the liberty of linking the drivers from our website so you can get full use out of your printer if there is a driver available for your operating system. Click here for that link!

Hope this help!

Hi SamanthaW,

I'm having the same problem with my 2023 Apple M3 Max MacBookPro.

I downloaded the MX920 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver. 16.40.1.0 and when I try to install it, it says that the installation failed and that I should contact the manufacturer for more information. It's very frustrating, especially because the other drivers on the page — the MX920 series Scanner Driver Ver.19.2.0 and the ICA Driver Ver. 4.0.0a — installed successfully. Am I unable to use this printer with my computer?

What version and build of Mac OS are you running?  The compatibility page states that the MX920/922 is supported through OSX Ventura.

Yeah, MX922 is part of the MX920 series, so that’s normal. Try downloading the MX920 series driver from Canon’s site it should work fine.
