I have a Canon XA10 Camcorder, which I we have used since Feb 2014 and it has worked well for us. In the past few months its hdmi output port has quit working. I have tried changing the cable and cleaning the connector but nothing helped. Any ideas?

Might be due to something like this:

Hi jitenderk0107,
Thanks for checking in with us.
It might also help if you go into the menu and disable CONTROL FOR HDMI and HDMI 1080P OUTPUT.
If problems persist when connecting to a variety of HDMI devices, I suggest that you email us at hdvideo@cits.canon.com with details about your camera, your date of purchase, and the state from where you are sending the camera, and we'll walk you through the repair process.

Hi Nick2020,
I did try enabling/disabling control for HDMI and HDMI 1080p output but it did not help.
I did talk to someone at support and will be sending my camera for repairs.

I just had this problem today (10/31/2022). I ended up replacing my HDMI-mini to HDMI adapter that plugs into the HDMI-mini port on the camera and that resolved my problem.
