I have two Canon C200 cameras. Both have just lived in my studio (not traveled, indoor, climate controlled, etc.) and neither has any physical damage. One of my C200 cameras stopped outputting video from the SDI port. It still outputs from the HDMI port. The LCD screen is also intermittently going flaky, lines through it and unable to monitor or read with it. I switched the cables from my working C200 and I switched the monitor feed from my working C200 and the problem followed the camera - meaning the LCD monitor on the failing camera worked fine when connected to the “good” C200. The camera records video fine, and it outputs HDMI fine, all other functions work, just the SDI and LCD monitor are having issues. I have two questions… Have any C200 users out there had this problem? If the fix was sending it to CPS for repair, what was the cost for the repair? I am trying to decide whether to use it as-is, replace it with a low-hour used C200, or replace it with a C70 or C80. So trying to get an idea of the cost for repair. Called CPS and they could not give me an estimate without sending the camera in. If the repair is less than $900 would probably be worth it. If not, probably better to just buy another C200 and use this one for parts because you can pick up a used C200 for $1800 or less. My switchers have both SDI and HDMI input, so I can still use it as it is with a HDMI splitter an second monitor. Just kind of a pain. I use these for interviews and live streaming so the C200 does everything I need it to do. I would just prefer to have SDI and monitor working. Hoping to get an idea of cost from someone who has had a similar failure.
