I know this is an old Camcorder, but we use it at my church, and I'm hoping I can revive it.
In the past couple of weeks, the HDMI output has just started cutting out. It comes back for a bit and cuts out again. It behaves like a syncing issue, but we haven't changed anything on the camcorder. I tried factory resetting it, setting the frame rate again, a different HDMI cable, and a different monitor. Same issue. It does it on both battery and wired power.
Canon says they don't support this anymore, so am I just out of luck?

Could be a loose connector you can re-solder:

You might also wiggle the HDMI cable, and if you find a spot that gives you a good connection, tape it down!
