There are only a select number of buttons that you can use for assignable button options. You won't be able to reassign buttons on the directional pad to have other functions.

It may help if you upload images at the end of the shoot rather than intermittently throughout the day. You may need to turn the camera off and on and then reestablish a wireless connection to do a new transfer.
