Hi there,
I recently bought the Canon LiDE 400 scanner as the resolution goes up to 4800. I need the maximum resolution as I want to blow up some antique hand painted artworks which are tiny. I have tried downloading the IJ scan utility software and changing the settings in drivers to allow large image scanning (found this in a previous post) but the resolution is still fixed at 600dpi. I am on a macbook pro. Is there another way and why can i not scan at the full resolution?
Thanks

How do you change the Output size? It's greyed out for me, as are the sizes in the input settings section?

Greetings,
This is a run-away thread containing posts from different users with different OS's.
It's nearly impossible to follow or answer or provide solutions with so many variables, software environments, etc. This thread is also years old now.
Please start a new post. Your own, that contains information about your hardware, operating system version and build and how your device is connected please. This helps those of us who are providing solutions and others who are searching for answers. Note, it's also not possible for a thread to be marked as solved unless it's your own.
Thanks in advance.

I apologize for doing things incorrectly. Also, I solved my own problem. It must be set to Color, not Black & White or Greyscale.

No worries, we just want to make sure that your issue gets the attention that it deserves. A users issues tend to get buried in these long multi-page threads. Hard to express how dissapointing these Canon LiDE scanners are, just shortcoming after shortcoming.
Hey Canon, maybe don't advertise your scanner to have 2400dpi scanning when you don't have software devs that can figure out how to manage a scary 100mb+ file.
Absolute joke software.
