imageFORMULA RS40 using readiris pdf 23 with Mac 26.1 - getting scanner not ready error

I have an existing copy of Readiris PDF 23 that I am using with my old printer/scanner. Bough the RS40 and set it up yesterday.

I cannot get Readiris PDF 23 to work with the RS40 scanner.

I am running Mac OS 26.1.

Please help!

For this type of issue, please call our Imaging Solutions Group at 1-800-423-2366, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST, Monday - Friday (excluding holidays).  I understand that email may be your preferred method of communication; however, these steps need to be provided by phone with a technician assisting you through it.

1.       Call our Imaging Solutions Group
2.       Wait until you are asked to select a product. When you get that prompt, press 1.
3.       When you get the second prompt, press 2.
