I have users in the office who suddenly cannot use their DR-C230 Scanner since 12/8/25. After clicking "Scan" in the CaptureOnTouch V5 Pro app, it says "Cannot find scanner. Check power and cables". This scanner is connected via USB and windows recognizes this scanner. The issue appears to be that windows keeps saying "Driver unavailable" when looking at the device in control panel. The ISIS / TWAIN / WIA" Driver been installed, repaired, removed, and installed again. I have also reinstalled the "CaptureOnTouch V5 Pro app" app. Tried running the "Restoration Tool for Windows Registry", which successfully repaired the first time I ran it, but still no change when trying to scan/same driver unavailable error. I tried following this "DR Scanner driver not found / TWAIN Error" guide, still no luck. I have tried pointing the device to the driver location and it still doesn't work. Trying to have windows automatically search for the driver also doesn't work.
Any ideas? I don't know what else to try.
