Save/restore VIDEO settings on R5 C to SD card

Easy to do with the photo side settings. That doesn't seem to save the video settings though. Every time I update firmware it wipes all my video settings and I have to go back through and reset everything one setting at a time. There must be a way to save the settings for the video side right?

Yes, there is.  In video mode, go into the "wrench" menu, and it's the 4th option down - Transfer Menu/CP.

It does seem that you have to do both (photo and video); because the two sides of the camera really are 2 different operating systems, with different ways of doing things.  Your video settings will be saved as a folder called "PRIVATE", and your photo settings will be saved as a file called "CAMSET01.CSD".  Looks like it saves to whichever card is selected for recording photos.

No problem!  If this helped, you could mark it as a solution, so others can find it.  Cheers!
