Dear Canon Support Team,
I own a Canon CR-N300 PTZ camera and recently attempted to update its firmware. Unfortunately, the camera lost power in the middle of the process, and since then it has stopped responding.
Sometimes the camera appears in the Multi-Camera Management application showing firmware version 1.5, but when I try to update from there, the update does not progress. In addition, the camera occasionally requests username and password through the web interface, which seems encouraging, but once it should advance to the next stage of the control interface, it freezes.
I was trying to update from version 1.5 to version 1.7. My other two CR-N300 cameras updated successfully, but this unit did not.
Currently, I am unable to fully access the web interface or configure the camera through the network.
Could you please advise if there is a way to restore the firmware on my own?
Firmware attempted: updating from 1.5 → 1.7
Thank you very much for your assistance. I look forward to your guidance.
Best regards,
Agustin

Hello agusgorriti,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues getting this camera's firmware updated. You may want to reset the camera to factory default settings at this point and see if that helps you get back on track. Start with the camera powered off. (The camera does not have a power switch. In order to turn the camera on or off, connect or disconnect the power supply cable.) Turn on the power while pushing the RESET switch, confirm that the POWER lamp lights up (green), and then release the RESET switch after about five seconds. If this does not resolve the issue, then the camera may need to be sent to a service center unfortunately.
For factory service, please forward your camera to one of the Factory Service Centers shown below. If it has been less than one year since the camera was purchased, we ask that you also include proof of warranty in the form of a copy of your sales receipt.
