pixma PRO100 top cover locked open after changing inks (correctly)

I changed two inks. took the packaging off correctly,, inserted inks in correct places. the top cover will not close. it seems locked, there are no error messages. power on/off makes no difference,.

interesting idea that there is no lock. so I pushed it down a bit harder and it looks like you are correct. it is just a bit sticky. thanks, you really helped me out !!!

Hi. I assume you mean the cover that says Pixma and opens to reveal the ink cartridges. I just checked my Pro-100 to confirm what I thought.

There is no lock-open feature on the cover. Did some foreign material maybe fall into the hinge area?
