PIXMA G3272 Black prints as muted grey

Hi there, we recently set up a new printer and I’m having some initial issues. The model is G3272. Printing with iPad procreate, or the photos app or on iPhone, or the canon app. The issue is that the printouts have all the black coming out as a very muted grey. Even changing all the settings has the same results (changing to high quality, full colour, changing paper type etc). The only time the printouts work correctly is when the canon app is selected and the button for “bordered” is selected. However, this is a problem because it also changes the physical size of the printout and it needs to be exactly sized (tattoo artists printing stencils). Also it’s very laborious to go through this process every time of opening the canon app and changing the settings every time we print. Is there any way to fix this process where it just prints directly from procreate with proper saturated black in the correct size.
Thankyou for your help in advance.

Hi.  Have you run a nozzle check?

Selecting bordered or unchecking borderless should have no effect on the printer head nozzle.

Try setting the printer settings the way you want and set it to print in grayscale when you want a black print or photo.

Yes, all normal. Black is solid.

Hey Derrick, thanks for your reply. Selecting Bordered vs Borderless seems to be the only variable that changes the printouts to solid black, we tried changing print quality, changing to greyscale etc. agreed it seems odd.
Tried setting the presets then printing greyscale- same result; no solid black.
