Pixma Pro-100 suddenly show no ink cartridges installed??

My Pro-100 stopped printing and shows 16 orange flashes and the ink status seems to indicate NO ink is installed in any slot however all of the ink cartridges are installed with a steady light (none are flashing) and have plenty of ink in them.  Does this mean the print head has gone out??  i have not found any info on this condition.

Thank you for your response however I found that by replacing ALL of the cartridges the problem went away, too bad and those I took out were almost full.
