PIXMA TS3722 - Error when installing new ink cartridges

I have a Canon TS3722 printer and even thought I an using Canon Fine ink cartridges I cannot get them in the printer. I have taken them out and reinstalled but still get an error message, they are installed correctly but error says no what else can I do? I am ready to trash the fairly new printer and there is no tech support on weekends

Please follow the steps on this page to remove and then insert the ink cartridges of your PIXMA TS3722:

TS3700 series > Handling Paper, Originals, FINE Cartridges, etc. > Replacing a FINE Cartridge
