BEWARE!!!! Malware link in driver download from ij.start.canon/ - ScreenConnect.Clientsetup.exe

I am not sure if this is true for all driver downloads from the ij.start.canon link in the user setup instructions document... but I bought the TS3722 and the instructions that came w/ it said to go to ij.start.canon/ts3722  to get set up.  Well when it came to installing the drivers,  it downloads an .exe called ScreenConnect.Clientsetup.exe.   and this is MALWARE!!!!

The only reason I know (without infecting my computer) is I tried to connect the printer to my work laptop and as such I had to install that .exe... they determined it was malware.

So to be safe go to: https://www.usa.canon.com/support  and find your printer and install the driver from there.

Hi, krisktx!  We can understand your concern and we assure you there's no malware in the software you're downloading from http://ij.start.canon.  While the address might not look like one you might be used to, Canon Inc. owns the ".canon" top level domain.  Everything offered through that site has been vetted by Canon to ensure everyone's safety and privacy.

Additionally, Canon USA's support teams have the option to connect to your computer during support calls and only with your consent within the course of the phone call.  The ScreenConnect software allows us to solve technical problems a lot faster when you call us.  If you need more information, feel free to talk to our support team.  You can reach them Monday through Friday at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666).

Hope this clears things up!
