Thank you!. I may have to call them on weekdays when they are open. But for now, I will email them. thank you so much

If it weren't for this post, I would not have figured out the problem with my new printer.  The directions idea of the location of the rear feeder and my idea of the location was opposite.  Thank you Benso074  so much for posting this!

Hi ivo,

What is the model number of the Canon printer that you own?

I spent 45 minutes trying to print an A3 page but ran into this error code 1000. Finally I read this forum and in particular this post and stupid me or stupid them, you'll be the judge. They call the one in the rear the Manual Feed tray and the one up front or in the middle or the one in front of the so called Manual feed one, the Rear Tray!!Smiley Sad

Oh well, I printed many times before with no problems but this time I use large format papaer, so I went in deeper to set the paper size thus the tray option.

Now I used the white marker and wrote a BIG print on the tray cover accordingly but unwillingly to accept in my mind.

Thanks benso074

Thanks for your help.  However a relative who knows a bit more about IT than I do (it is not hard) has fixed the problem.

It seems that I had chosen glossy (photo) paper for ordinary printing; the printer kept dealing the print orders as if they were photos.

Yes, I ran into the same problem too and wonder how the machine figured out between different types of paper?

Sometome, I had to change to different type of paper several times for it to accept simply because I was not sure exactly what type of photo paper I was using.

hello I am having problems with my printer and I was wondering if y'all can help. I'm receiving support code 1000, I have tried everything to fix it but its still not working

aahuss02,

What model of Canon printer do you own?

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?  If you are using a Mac, what version of OSX is installed?
