imageCLASS LBP632Cdw not communicating with Silhouette Studio app

My Canon 632 is on my wifi and is not communicating with a program called Silhouette Studio (sticker creation software). Do I have to do anything special if I want to connect the macbook pro to the printer using USB cable?

tr8622 keeps telling that the printer is offline (when it isn't) .what could be the problem ??
