I have a new Xfinity XB8 router with a new SSID and a new password. My PIXMA ix6820 is not being detected because the ex router's SSID. How do I change the SSID on my Canon PIXMA ix6820? I tried the WPS button mode on both printer and router several times without success. Thanks

Greetings,

You can change your printer's existing network configuration by re-running the printers set up utility.

You can also change the SSID and password of the new router and most (existing) devices will  likely connect to it.

Got it. Thanks to all.

this is why my network has been HappyGiraffe since the early 2000s when a Cisco router gave me that as my default. Adopting new devices and changing routers is so much easier this way!

Have you considered changing your new router's SSID and password to match your old router?
