IJ Scan Utility Lite not working

My printer/scanner:  PIXMA G7020
My computer:  M2 Mac mini
My OS:  Sonoma 14.0

Recently, I started getting this error message when scanning documents. The same message occurred regardless of the type of scan (Document, Photo, Custom). In each case, I go to settings to make sure it is set to save as either JPEG or TIFF, then try again. Every time, I get the same error message. Art there plans to update this software to remedy this matter? Thx
